2025 US Open Schedule

The 2025 US Open schedule is loaded with compelling stories as the year’s final Grand Slam begins. From defending champion Jannik Sinner opening his title defense against Vit Kopriva to Venus Williams, who is back on her quest to break through at 45 years old, the action in Queens is sure to deliver. And with the tournament’s expanded 15-day format — which features finals on both Saturday and Sunday and gives players an extra day of rest — fans have more chances to witness top-tier tennis in person than ever before.

All matches take place at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York City. The outdoor hard courts — including four “show courts” (Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and Court 17) and 13 field courts — are covered by retractable roofs, providing players with comfortable conditions in all weather.

Women’s singles matches are best-of-three sets with a first-to-10 tiebreaker at 6-all in the third set; men’s singles are best-of-five with a final tiebreak at 6-all in the fifth set. This year’s total player compensation is a record $90 million, with the two singles champions each earning $5 million.

Several American players — including last year’s runner-up Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz — and rising stars like Alex Michelsen, Learner Tien and Brandon Nakashima — who are all making their first appearance at the US Open — add to the excitement. Then there’s Venus Williams, who is in the tournament as a wildcard and aims to continue her remarkable journey on the biggest stage.
