Formula 1 standings are a vital part of the F1 season and can be used to get a full picture of the drivers’ and teams’ performance at a glance. The table below shows the top 10 in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships, as well as their points total. The column headers can be clicked to sort by different criteria. The top 10 in the race is always shown first, while the quickest lap bonus and the number of points awarded for a pole position are also included.
Oscar Piastri and McLaren-Mercedes are currently leading the 2025 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, which is the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel single-seater formula racing cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile. It consists of twenty-four rounds, held around the globe, starting in March and finishing in December.
The points structure has evolved over the years, with the value of a win increasing from 2003 to 2009 (when 2nd place finishers received 80% of the points awarded to the winner), and then in recent years to a top eight or ten structure that encourages risk-taking driving. At the same time, the championship discarded several of its lowest results, to help mitigate the impact of one or more DNFs in a season.
The top 10 in the race is always shown in red, while the quickest lap bonus and the points awarded for a pole position are also shown. In recent seasons, three rounds have added a sprint qualifying race that awards points (3 pts per finisher) and sets the grid for Sunday’s grand prix from its result, but these points are not included in the top 10 for comparisons against previous points structures.
