Global Conflict: New Dynamics Amid International Tensions

This, combined with consequent mass migration could cause social tensions and further contribute to instability. Social media plays an important role in disseminating information, but is also often a vehicle for disinformation that exacerbates conflict. Misleading narratives can deepen divisions between rival ethnic groups or countries. The existence of international organizations such as the UN tries to find peaceful solutions, but they often face big challenges in responding to complex conflicts. Many influential countries prefer unilateral resolutions rather than through multilateral forums, which adds to the level of tension. What is more interesting is cooperation in the field of defense technology. Countries are currently developing advanced weapons, including drones and cyber weapons, which can change the classic concept of war. This creates a new scenario where threats can emerge from the cyber sector, not just on the conventional battlefield. The global economy is also closely linked to international conflict. Economic sanctions imposed by countries against each other can worsen domestic situations and prolong tensions. For example, sanctions against Iran impacted the civilian population and led to increased dissatisfaction with the government. In responding to this challenge, countries need to encourage diplomacy and dialogue to resolve conflicts in a more constructive way. The choice to prioritize collaboration over confrontation, as well as utilizing international forums for discussion, would be an important step towards global stability. Exercising efforts to understand the dynamics of global conflict is critical to the future of international peace and security. In this context, the involvement of civil society is also needed to create awareness and contribute to conflict resolution. Global awareness of this problem must increase in order to prevent further escalation that could threaten world peace and security.
